THE BEAUTY OF TANJUNG BIRA

Angin berhembus di Pantai Bira

Teriknya matahari menyilaukan mata

Putihnya pasir pantai membuatku terpana

Kagum, ku terkagum melihat ciptaan-Nya

                Tanjung Bira Beach is one of the most beautiful beach in Indonesia. It is located in Sub Bontobahari, Bulukumba, South Sulawesi Province. If you start your trip from Makassar, it will take 4-5 hours to arrive in Tanjung Bira Beach. Although it is far enough from the mother city of South Sulawesi , yet, you will not feel tired when you see the splendor of the view. Few minutes before reaching the destination, you will feel impressed how beautiful the view is. This is why I suggest you not to sleep during the trip because you will regret when you lose your chance to see the stunning views. When you look to the left, you will see the mountain area and very green pastures. In the opposite side, you will see the beauty of Bira Beach.

Tired, dizzy, sleepy or nausea will disappear instantly when you look at those lovely views. Yes, those views are the medicine of your fatigue. Those sceneries are the evidences that Indonesia also has very beautiful natural wealth.  Believe me, you will not feel regret when you put your feet in one of the most beautiful places in Indonesia, Tanjung Bira Beach.

Above picture was taken by my dad. As you can see, the weather at that time was so sunny. The sun was very sting. Yet, we still enjoyed the view. We hired one cottage, ordered some fresh drinks and frolic each other. Actually, we want to hire on ship to enjoy the scenery from the middle of the sea, but, on that time, we did not bring any clothes and the water of the sea was high tide so that we decided not to hire the ship. Sat, we just sat at the cottage since we arrived until the time when we should went back to Makassar. Though we did nothing on that place, yet we still felt amazed with what we were looking. So beautiful.

 The seawater was being more and more tide. It means that we should went back to Makassar. Before went in to the car, we took time to buy some snacks  from Tanjung Bira. Those snacks were so delicious. It was sad because we have to end our trip in Bulukumba on the evening. Oh, before went back to Makassar, we stoped by in one harbor in Bulukumba. When we arrived in that harbor, the driver who chauffeured us told that the harbor is the place where people want to go to Selayar Island. As you may know, Selayar Island  is the small island that separated from mainland Sulawesi. The scenery on that island also as beautiful as Tanjung Bira beach. Regret. We litlle bit regret because we just knew that there is an island near from Tanjung Bira. ‘We will stay here one night if we know that Selayar Island is here, in Bulukumba’, my dad said. Just like Indonesian’s proverb, Nasi telah menjadi bubur, yet, we still enjoyed our trip.
